About Me

I'm Todd, and I hate talking about myself

I'm an artist specializing mainly in semi-realistic acrylic paintings and graphite/colored pencil drawings, but I like to experiment with styles, subjects, and mediums. Whenever possible, I try to infuse my work with humor. I'm open to taking commissions, and am always up for a challenge.

I got a relatively late start in life with my artistic career, but I feel that I'm finally on a sustainable path. I've been a writer, a word puzzle creator, an escape room designer, an actor, and a stand-up comedian. Basically, if there's an element of creativity involved, I'm game. Inspiration

I've been inspired by such artists as Dali, Magritte, and other surrealists (not always evident in my work), but honestly I'm moved and fascinated by anyone who creates something beautiful and/or original.

Techniques

I'm always working on improving the breadth and depth of my artistic techniques. As of now, I mainly paint with acrylic or draw with graphite/colored pencil. I'm beginning to experiment with oil, charcoal, and mixed media.

Career Highlights

As it's early in my career, I don't have too many highlights just yet, although I can say that I garnered a half dozen commissions in the first few months of trying to do this professionally. I call that a win.
